We have been working closely with the core group in Extinction Rebellion Re-wilding to bring about a positive solution, to what was at one time, a disastrous situation. As reported in the mainstream media, over 750,000 oak saplings were to be destroyed.

Now, after a successful fund-raising campaign by the Save the Oaks team , at least 30,000 trees will be saved and planted.

TREEspect have carried out visits and liaised with tree suppliers, Maelor Forest Nurseries near Wrexham, even visiting the fields where the saplings are growing. TREEspect CIC founder, Rob McBride said at he the time of his visit, ‘It was absolutely mind-blowing to be standing in a field with nearly 1,000,000 oak trees are growing.’ He went on to say that…
